How ACORN Group Choose Money Use?

How ACORN Group Choose Money Use?

The Acorn Group Has a Preset Agenda With the Requisite Need for Funds.

Acorn, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is the nation’s largest community organization of low and moderate income families.

Acorn group isn’t good nor bad; but it is unapologetically a political organization.

Political organizations, by their very nature, have an agenda.

Political organizations are about the business of promoting the position of one group of people over another

Promoting a particular position is fine and can lead to enhancement of the lifestyle of the people within the group.

Politics is an excellent way in which to define a position and get elected.

One can imagine the difficult transition from politician to elected leader.

Once elected, the official is the leader of all people and no longer a politician with a one-sided agenda.

Acorn has 30 years of experience and 120,000 members in 700 cities.

“We are the majority, forged from all the minorities,” reads the group’s “People’s Platform,” whose prose Orwell would have derided as pure commissar-speak.

President Obama has a long and close relationship with Acorn.

This fact is neither good nor bad; the question is whether President Obama can now become Presidential sufficient to run the Executive Branch of the US Government.

The US can be brought to a very sad state when an Elected President cannot become Presidential, as in the case of George W. Bush.

Acorn has a preset agenda of strengthening the Welfare System whereas a better path could be to empower the poor and disadvantaged to function in a world that is easy for no one.

Acorn Fair Housing, while an independent organization , has it’s beginnings as part of Acorn, a 38 year old community activist organization

For the last two years Acorn members have been waging a campaign against Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs).

Hurricane Katrina’s winds had hardly subsided before Acorn began organizing New Orleaneans to rebuild their beloved city on their own terms

Predatory lending has ignited a wildfire of foreclosures across the United States.

Acorn’s 2006 election campaign, ‘Raise the Minimum Wage,’ represented unprecedented victory for working families.

Acorn also has suffered under allegations of embezzlement and voter fraud which, if investigated, could clear the air for everyone.

President Obama, with his very close association to Acorn, might do well to encourage such investigation.

ACORN Group

ACORN Group & Purpose in Society

The Acorn Group is a powerful group and as is true of all powerful groups, they can take on a life of their own.

The US Constitution provides rights to ACORN, as well as responsibilities.

The Acorn Group can provide an excellent advocacy voice to people.

Can Power Corrupt?

Just as with all large groups, power can corrupt.

Misusing the system that offered the group protection and possibility of existence ultimately will cause the group to implode.

One needs only look at the Large Corporations in the US to see evidence of this.
