Exposed

Secretary

A large part of the Dick Cheney bio, at least on the political side is that he served as secretary of defense under the elder President Bush.

During the time he sat in this office, the United States military successfully invaded Panama and unseated the reigning head of state Manuel Noriega.

Also, during his time as secretary of defense, the United States fought the first Gulf War.

They launched massive airstrikes and then a ground attack when Iraq invaded Kuwait in1990.

Vice Presidency

The Dick Cheney bio shows more controversy during his time as Vice President of the United States of America, than during his time as Secretary of Defense.

One of the main concerns regarding Dick Cheney during his time as vice president was the name of a CIA agent being leaked to the press.

The Washington Post reported that the main source of their investigation into the leak of the agents name came from the vice president’s office.

Cheney’s chief of staff was a central figure in the investigation about the leak.

He even testified that he had been authorized by his superiors, including Cheney to release the name to the press.

He was later convicted on charges of obstruction of justice, lying to investigators and perjury.

Was he lying about who authorized the release of the information or was he just the scapegoat?

Another concerning incident in the Dick Cheney bio during his vice presidency was that he shot another man when hunting.

He shot his 78 year old hunting partner in the face, neck and chest with bird shot as he turned to shoot a bird.

This caused the man to suffer a heart attack, because a bird shot pellet was embedded in his heart.

Witness accounts vary greatly in time and even days of the shooting. The man who was shot stated that it occurred on February 10th, the incident was not disclosed until February 12th.

Does a man who waits this long to report shooting someone deserve a seat next to the President of the United States?
