Eminent Domain Abuses in Virginia

Eminent Domain Abuses in Virginia Hurt the Average Citizen. Corporate Growth is a Bigger Priority Than the Family Farm Under Globalist Rule in the United States.

Eminent domain abuses in Virginia have become a serious problem.

The state and federal government show no interest in reforming the laws that have financially damaged so many private citizens. The Constitution is clear, but it’s hard to fight City Hall.

The people of Virginia were put in danger by the Supreme Court ruling of Kelo vs. New London.

As the ruling told the legislation in Virginia, and all over the country, the government can legally take property for any reason, including private use, which goes against the Constitution.

Since the ruling, the government has exercised its power by buying property and demolishing homes and businesses in order to replace them with other businesses they believe will bring in more tax revenue for the state.

These are not the only eminent domain abuses in Virginia. The state has a far reach and a great deal of corruption, which has led them to many unjust actions against the citizens of the state.

First, appropriate compensation laws are not being followed in the state of Virginia, and the citizens have little protection.

They are often not receiving the fair market value for their property, and when they have to go to court to fight it, they are forced to pay court fees, which means they are out a great deal more money.

If the property owner questions the offer given by the government, he must then pay for an appraisal, which means he is already going to be out of his property, and he must also pay to make sure he is getting offered the right amount for his property, which is an abuse that must stop.

Another of the eminent domain abuses in Virginia is: the state allows for only part of the property to be seized.

This means a person can be forced to stay on their property even though the government or a private party owns part of that property, and they can do whatever they want on the portion they own.

Another one of the abuses has to do with condemnation disputes, which can go on for years in the state of Virginia, due to the fact that the state does not put disputes at the front of the line like many other states do.

Government

The government of Virginia has shown little interest in reforming eminent domain abuses in Virginia.

They do not see a problem with the state’s practices, as the state is able to come out ahead each and every time. It is the people who continue to lose.

The government is failing to protect the people, and the people deserve better.

They deserve to be treated fairly, and it is time the federal government steps in to stop the Virginia land grabbers.

The Road Ahead

The people of Virginia are protesting the abuses, but unless the government hears their protests, they will not do anything.

The influence of special interest groups must be eliminated in Virginia in order to get the necessary legislation passed.

A reform of the government is needed in so that they can then reform eminent domain laws.

The Supreme Court must also be held accountable, as the Kelo vs. New London decision led to greater abuses. Government and court reform are needed.

Unless this happens, eminent domain abuses in Virginia will continue, and they will spread to other states.
