First Echelon was Meant to Spy Abroad

The First Echelon Surveillance System Was Instituted Without Public Knowledge or Approval.

This first Echelon system can be traced back at least as far as the late 1990’s.

At this time reports from various sources began to surface about the existence of a new type of surveillance system.

According to the sources, Echelon was a surveillance system that was being run by the National Security Agency, or NSA.

It has also been said that there are several different countries that are working in collusion together on the Echelon project.

These countries include the likes of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Collectively these countries are known as UKUSA and each one has the capacity to use the Echelon system on their own citizens.

Both the open media and conspiracy theorists alike are now jumping on the wagon and voicing their concern over the existence of such a system that is more than capable of spying on people without their knowledge and consent.

As we give up more and more of our rights to privacy we will see more and more systems like this first Echelon surveillance system pop up and continue the government’s fight to maintain full control of the population.

Who, what, when and why?

Not many people know exactly how the Echelon system was first brought into being.

This being said, there are now many probable scenarios that have sprung up in which the public has gotten wind of what truly happened.

As the threat of attacks on American soil escalated a new surveillance system was born.

The NSA used the excuse of incursions by terrorists to justify the creation of a multi-million, and perhaps even billion, dollar computerized and satellite-based spy program.

Just as with the first Echelon, this one can intercept anything from phone calls to personal faxes and so much more. It can even pick through emails.

As Echelon goes through your supposedly secure lines of communication it searches for certain key words and phrases that may point to illegal activities.

The communications are then logged for later study. This begs the question; who is it then that sets up or decides these particular words or phrases?

In a day and age where the government is becoming more of a Big Brother state how do we know that this type of surveillance system will not be put to sinister use by the elite in the government who seek to keep themselves in power and their opponents in the dirt?

How do we know what they will be searching us for next?

Not only is the fact that the American government taking part in a clandestine operation is a violation of our civil rights, the fact that they allow foreign powers to access the same materials and equipment is just wrong.

Who is to say that one of the other countries will not use the communications to attack the U.S.?

Stand Up and Take Notice

Now, according to reports coming out in the news the NSA has been caught with it proverbial pants around its ankles.

The fact that they have over-run the limit of surveillance and tapping that was allowed by congress.

So, how does it work when a government agency breaks a rule set by congress? Your guess is as good as anyone else’s unfortunately.

The odds of altering what is becoming a Big Brother are very low unless the citizens of the United States of America stand up and demand that the system be taken offline.

No longer will we fall divided if the first Echelon system is not taken out.

We will fall united under one new socialistic military-industrial complex that only has its own interests at heart.
