On the 11th of September, radar and satellite images showed the world suffered more than one tragedy.

By the end of the day, citizens of the United States, the world and you were collectively gripped in shock, anger and despair at the death and destruction they watched on T.V.

The acts of the 9/11 bombing has gone down in History as one of the nations worst acts of terrorism.

It is reported that the tell tale smoke was captured by several radar and satellite images.

These radar and satellite images echoed the messages that were being broadcasted in the media all around the world.

In a tragic turn of events born out National malice, sacrificial service and the chaos factor over a thousand people lost their lives with the collapse of the twin towers.

Filled with emotions, people stared and mourned at the ensuing tragedy.

Concerns were immediately raised. Questions were asked with fingers seeking responsible targets.

On the September 11 almost half of America finally came to be aware of the existence and situation of Afghanistan.

And the tragedy is that it took television to do this. America has been involved with Afghanistan for far longer than the 24 hours of the 11th of September 2001.

In a cold war against the Russians which involves far more than simple intrusion with Radar and satellite images surveillance the American govt took the offensive by a subtle alliance Afghanistan.

The American government had in fact secretly been funding afghan rebels. But most of the citizens didn’t know that.

The United States at some point was in a friendly relation with Osama bin Laden.

Again most of the citizens were ignorant of this fact. In a society becoming increasingly dependant on TV, Americans have slowly come to dissocialize with the events of the country.

The average American watches 8 hours of television, which is a feast of radar and satellite images, and yet is painfully unaware of what is happening right behind the scenes.

The only time the citizens of America came to understand the issues that challenged their nation was when national television was halted to broadcast an emergency.

Only then did they come to painful awareness of the country’s situation.

After 300 years of manipulating the people the American government has found the perfect marionette for their citizen puppets. The Media!

The Role of the Media

Television and the media are slowly desensitizing the America public to the real issues occurring around them.

The public is more concerned with who the eventual winner of America Idol will be than the running and handling of their public offices.

Americans are failing to pay attention to events that are surrounding them that will have long reaching effects on their way of life.

In the early weeks of November, “24” featuring Agent Jack Bauer-Family man, Hero and patriot, took to the air with a bang. The whole nation was excited about it.

Media houses couldn’t help but talk about it. In its first month it was watched by over 8 million viewers regularly.

In all the attention associated with the welcome of the new series ,very little attention was paid to an event that occurred 6 days earlier.

The American Patriot Act

The Patriot Act is not a law that is being considered. The patriot act is now an Official law.

In the aftermath of the 9/11 blast, counting on public sentiment to negate resistance, President George Bush quickly sought and was given the mandate provided by the Patriot Act.

The act effectively wipes out your civil liberties and right as a citizen. Consider.

The Patriot Act permits law enforcement agencies to invade your home and life, at will.

Your emails, telephone calls and day to day transactions are now free purview of the American government.

They have the right to intrude on your life, monitoring your actions using radar and satellite images and other surveillance means.

It gets worse. The Act also permits the government to freely regulate your financial transactions.

Your accounts, under the charter permitted to the Sec Treasury, can be read and altered if the American government deems it fit.

And if all this is not sufficient to their cause, the American government is PERMITTED to knock on your door, whip you into a bus and lock you up without trial or debate on mere suspicion ( confirmation is not necessary) of suspected terrorist act.

Simply saying hi to a person who is related to someone under surveillance can get you arrested. In the end it seems the e American Patriot Act is merely determined to treat every one as unpatriotic.

The Present

9 years have past since the event of 9/11. The world has come to slowly forget the incidences that stunned them into immobile silence.

We have returned to watching movies and discussing soaps, oblivious to the fact that radar and satellite images are being manipulated and Fed to us in order to control our minds.

We have ignored the pictures coming from news agencies captured from radar and satellite images.

We have once again forgotten the importance of monitoring those who are tasked with the job of protecting us.

We have let our guard down. And once again tragedy has begun.
