Sinister Meaning of Echelon

The Meaning of Echelon Goes Much Further Than Its Literal Definition, in Fact, What it Stands For is the U.S. Government Spying on Its Very Own Citizens.

What you don’t know about the meaning of Echelon can and definitely will hurt you.

If a poll were taken of a large cross-section of Americans, it is almost a given that most all of them would not be able to claim knowledge of what Echelon is or what it does.

This is not surprising when you consider the fact that the National Security Agency, or NSA, has control of the Echelon Surveillance System.

It is also not surprising when you consider the fact that the government has been adamantly denying the system’s existence since the 1980s.

This denial should not come as a surprise, however, since so many previous programs under governmental control have been likewise denied.

One such example is that of Air America, the contractor-led business that reported directly to the CIA and ran missions in Vietnam, Laos, and many other hotbed countries back in the 60s and continuing on for many years.

The meaning of Echelon is quite sinister when compared to a program such as Air America.

The Echelon system is known more properly as the Echelon Dictionaries, and it is these that the system compares all communications against when scanning for known keywords and code.

All Eyes are on You

A system of supercomputers located in a handful of countries that intercept huge chunks of communications from locations around the entire world.

Doesn’t this sound like a plot line from one of today’s movies? If it was simply a movie then all we would have to do is wait until the credits begin to roll.

Unfortunately, the lights will never go up on this movie until the government finally gives in and admits to the existence of the Echelon Surveillance System.

This includes admitting the existence of several SIGINT (signal intelligence) gathering stations located around the United States, as well as in the other countries involved.

AUSCANZUKUS is the name given to the signatory body of countries involved in the Echelon system.

It includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the United States. These countries have collaborated to create the meaning of Echelon.

The question is, how can they preserve our right to privacy at the same time?

Past a Point of no Return

The answer to this is that they cannot. It would be more precise to say that they will not.

The elite who have gained a foothold in the government are always eager to extend that foothold.

By keeping tabs on people they deem as being of interest they can know just how to manipulate the public to affect those individuals.

Our right to privacy has been ripped, stomped, spit upon and handed back to us with a smile from the government.

All the while they promise it was only done as a means to keep us all safe from harm.

The issue is that we are just as much at chance of harm today as we were ten years ago. The harm is coming from internal sources.

It is the Big Brother state that our government has become that is now a threat.

We have traded freedom for safety and, just as Benjamin Franklin said, we are now losing both freedom and safety.

This is the most frightening for those who understand the meaning of Echelon. It is the equivalent of 24/7 surveillance.
