It’s Not Where Does American Education Rank But Why That’s the Problem.

Parents across the nation are obsessed with where does American education rank in the global hierarchy of learning.

They follow the stats in the news as though the rankings even matter.

The problem with education in America isn’t that the youth of America keep ending up at the bottom of the rankings for math, science and reasoning.

The problem with education in America is that the government actually likes it better when the citizens stay dumb.

After all, a bovine population is hardly going to master mind a resistance to the control initiatives running free through society.

As long as the masses don’t get too bright and keep consuming their aspartame, video games and reality shows everything is going to be just fine for the power elite who like to be the ones running the show around here.

Asking, ‘Where does American education ranks?’, is a bit like asking a man who is bleeding to death who is going to win the next basketball tournament–it doesn’t have anything to do with the real problem.

No one should care whether American students do better or worse than European students at anything, the real question ought to be can any of the students think for themselves or do they merely repeat the party line for everything?

Not all is Lost

Even though they aren’t that cinematographically gifted, groups like Students Against Modern Education are a blessing.

So are people like John Gatto and Charlotte Iserbyt, who push back against the system and its emphasis on indoctrination.

They don’t care where does American education rank in the global scheme of things.

They all care about the way that the meat has been taken out of the educational process and replaced with drivel designed to generate a certain pattern of behavior.

This pattern of obedience and acceptance of information control is designed to keep students from knowing that they are being controlled by the elite.

That the system works so very well is why Americans are good at following rules but consistently at the bottom of global education rankings.

Think, Please Think

Rather than seeing that America ranks low and demanding that the schools “do something” about it, parents would be better served by doing some hard thinking about what is really going on here.

Rather than caring about the numbers, parents should worry about the students.

Believing that the rankings matter and need to be improved merely creates a crisis.

In this crisis, the school administrators will be fully justified in adding another layers of control to the classroom environment. That’s not what is needed here.

The best solution is to think when reacting to numbers like global rankings.

They don’t mean anything, but merely serve as a way to get the citizenry worked up and supportive of the latest indoctrination campaigns. Don’t fall for the hype.
