Many of us could confidently attest to it that our world has changed drastically: this uncomfortable change has led to the loss of our privacy. 

We are bombarded on every corner with surveillance cameras that peek into our secret actions and make us appear naked to the world; even to the people we would never know or meet!

Isn’t this scary? Could there be anything scarier than realizing that one has become so unprotected in the eyes of both friends and enemies?

Surveillance cameras have brought on us untold terror that we could believe to be more serious than the one the authorities vow to fight, and for which they have had the reason to use the cameras on us.

Several questions have been asked as to why the authorities decide to turn these instruments on us without having a second thought about it.

And many have asked without any reservations whether we are living in freedom or modern-day bondage?

No one could claim he/she is having liberty when his/her movements are constantly monitored, and hidden eyes watched over every step he/she makes.

This phenomenon is definitely outrageous: It reveals how desperate the Big Brothers are to keep us under their fingers, and to direct every decision we make.

It is proper to ask: are the authorities helping us by making us feel frightened and inconvenienced by their inconsiderate actions?

Time would tell if they are doing the right thing as they pursue their selfish goals.

There are different category of cameras that the big brother torments our lives with. 

There are spying cameras of all models and functionalities: However, they accomplish the same purpose of spying on us, on our secret activities.

Hidden cameras are common nowadays because they are small size and could be hidden in places that our naked eyes may not be able to detect.

There are reports that hidden cameras could be in a bag, shoes and even wallets.

The cameras for surveillance are the most advanced ones because they combine the technology of spying and data recording.

These cameras could capture people live and transmit their images to the authorities that could store them for future reference.

Are We Safer in this Way?

One could not stop from asking the question of safety again and again whenever we discuss the issue of surveillance in our world.

Do the authorities think they are doing us service or disservice by installing surveillance cameras all over our cities, towns, public places?

The fact is that anything that has the tendency to scare us may not provide us with protection.

The same logic goes with the uncontrollable use of surveillance equipment in the United States.
